Portland Global Initiatives, a Portland non-profit, is thrilled to invite you to the second annual Ski for Water Day at Mt. Hood Meadows on March 21st, 2015. This event is in honor of the United Nations World Water Day, an annual event that brings awareness internationally to the global water crisis.
We’ll have great prizes for both the highest number of vertical feet skied as well as the most funds raised. All funds will benefit water projects in Central America, providing life sustaining, safe water to remote villages across the region.
Check in starts at 8:30 AM and your skiing is tracked between 10:00 – 2:00 PM, during that time period we will track the total vertical feet conquered for the challenge – though you can ski all day!
Fund Raising & Vertical Challenge
There are different ways you can choose to participate in Ski 4 Water, either as a single skier or snowboarder, or as a team of 5.
1. The first and most popular way, is where you purchase your discounted lift ticket through us and donate the entry fee of $20 to enter the vertical challenge.
2. The second way you can enter is to purchase your discounted lift ticket through us and then fund raise on your own!* If you are a regular at Mt. Hood Meadows you can of course use your own ski pass and just sign up for the challenge!
Use promotion codes TEAM0136 or SINGLE0506 when you sign up and you will get a personal link to send to friends and family, which they can use to donate money!
*Fund raising value has to be equal or greater than the $20 entry fee.
